Welcome to our page! Our agency has been voted one of the top insurance agencies in Will County for seven years in a row by the Joliet Herald News our local newspaper! We are a family business as well. Our son Ty works here in the office. Even though the other members of our team aren't related, we still consider them part of our family! We provide car insurance, home insurance, life insurance, health insurance, business insurance, and so much more!

Rick has been a State Farm Agent since 1996. Prior to becoming an Agent, he worked in the claims department for State Farm. Combined, the Rick Hakey State Farm Team has over 100 years of experience in the insurance industry. To learn more about our outstanding team, scroll down the page to see their information! Our office is located right in the heart of Downtown Plainfield and has been the home of a State Farm agent for over 50 years!

Some fun facts about Rick... He was born and raised in Joliet, IL. For schooling, he attended JCA & the University of St. Francis (where he played football for the legendary Gordie Gillespie). He has a beautiful wife, 4 awesome kids, a crazy black lab named Tank who loves hunting, and two cats. He also has chickens, so if you ever want some fresh eggs, just ask! Rick's hobbies include hunting, fishing, golfing, boating/wakeboarding, and traveling (sailing the virgin islands is his favorite). He is a fan of all the Chicago sports teams, but for baseball he prefers the south side.

What is special about our team?... In the insurance business, the agency and company you are with matters. When something goes wrong, you want a team in your corner to help you every step of the way... and we are also here to help your life go right. We pride ourselves in making sure our customers understand what coverages they have and taking time to explain what coverages they may need. One thing you can always count on is our remarkable customer service.

Sound too good to be true? Check out our reviews on social media and popular search engines! Our team is also on-site for all Downtown Plainfield Summer Car/Auto Shows. If you are relocating to the area, we are great at making sure your policies transfer over to us smoothly. We also offer free notary public services.
